Jay Mac Sanders for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, Position 3
Jay Mac Sanders and his wife Kristin Lee Sanders are active residents of Panther Creek Village, where Jay Mac currently sits on the Panther Creek Village Association Board, the Montgomery County Youth Services Fund Committee, and the Montgomery County Baylor Club Board. As the Owner and Broker of Mustard Seed Realtors, and a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group leader, Jay Mac knows that having sound economic policies coupled with a strong moral compass are what will continue to make The Woodlands a great community to live and work in. Jay Mac and Kristin Lee have been blessed and honored to give their time and talents to a number of volunteer organizations in their community, such as Forty Days for Life and Compassion United.
Ever since his time as an undergraduate at Baylor University in the 90's, Jay Mac has been involved in helping make his communities a better place.He has consistently worked to write and implement sound fiscal and regulatory policies, allow personal responsibility to create innovation and new growth, and restraining the worst impulses of government waste.This is what makes Jay Mac a real common sense conservative both in words and deeds.
Jay Mac's interest in public service actually started as a teenager where he attended Boys State in his home state of Arkansas. After graduation, he moved to Washington DC.When Jay Mac evacuated the US Senate during the 9/11 attack, it drove home for Jay Mac that the reality of public service is a true service role, and that strong policies actually do make a difference. He continued to work on a number of domestic issues such as supporting the Bush tax cuts, balanced budgets and small business benefits.
For over three years, Jay Mac and Kristin Lee have built their own small businesses in The Woodlands and know firsthand how good policies have allowed The Woodlands to grow and thrive in the recent years. But with the Woodlands' recent new growth also comes new challenges. And it is time that a new voice helps to lead the direction for a continued era of strong growth.
Jay Mac married his wife Kristin Lee Sewell at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in April 2007. Kristin Lee, a John Cooper School Graduate and 19 year resident of The Woodlands, has a decade of running an Ameriprise Financial Advisory practice in The Woodlands. She is a member of the Junior League of North Harris and South Montgomery Counties, Executive Women's Alliance, and sits on the Interfaith of the Woodlands Five Who Share Committee.
Jay Mac and Kristin Lee are active members of Crossroads Baptist Church, and live with their daughter Anna Grace and their Yellow Lab June Carter in Panther Creek Village.
